Progressive
Many of you might know this, but yesterday I acquired another piece of 1980's memorabilia. The library had a NKOTB book that they were trying to get rid of. So, of course, I was more than happy to take it off their hands.
I remember I had a copy of that book when I was, like, 10. Of course, when I decided that they weren't cool anymore, I got rid of it. Sigh. I had a shirt with Jordan on it that I could probably sell on Ebay now for a hundred dollars. Oh, nostalgia!
I remember when I went to my cousin's house a long time ago. She told me she was into Depeche Mode and all those "progressive" (the late 80's term for "alternative"? I'm not sure on that genre of music) bands. Of course, since I wanted to be like her, I pretended to like that kind of music myself. Of course, my farce was found out, and I was officially labeled a teeny-bopper for life. Ah, well. The funny thing is, I hear those progressive songs on the radio now, and I kind of like them. (Hi, Scott!) Of course, I like almost any kind of music that doesn't involve a cowboy hat and a pouch of Skoal.

I dunno that much about music...so I dunno. That's just what my cousin called it. Seemed that there was actually a progressive station in Tulsa at the time I was there. (It's probably some country station now.) At any rate, I think it goes under the "music without genre" category.
